I always hate it when someone tells you life is like a bowl of cherries, or life is like a box of chocolates.

I want to brain the guy who introduced that last one into our national consciousness.

So don't hate me when I tell you that life is really like a chess game.

You have pieces of your life set at different priorities that you try to advance, but there's always some asshole trying to stop you.

The key to going out a winner is not to stop when they want you to, not to stay and play too long, and to make sure that when the endgame comes, you're the one in control.
